Young Alumnae Return Home to Share College Wisdom
November 29, 2012
As Sacred Heart Academy’s youngest alumnae returned home for the Thanksgiving holiday, well over one hundred recent graduates also made it a point to stop back to their home away from home, their alma mater. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving marked Young Alumnae Homecoming Day, the day where graduates from the past four years return to Sacred Heart to catch up with classmates and teachers and to share their “college wisdom” with our current seniors.
Young alumnae gathered in the lecture hall, many with Starbucks’ holiday cups in hand, and following a warm welcome home from President Sr. Sheila O’Neill, ASCJ, Ph.D., ’71, former members of Peer Connection led a panel discussion,“Everything You Wanted to Know about College…”. Alumnae shared stories that constantly had current students laughing and helped to ease their minds about university life.
After the discussion, alumnae joined the entire student body for the annual Powder Puff game in the gym and enjoyed homemade refreshments.
