Grandparents’ Day 2017

November 8 marked our ninth annual Grandparents’ Day, sponsored by the Office of Mission Advancement. Sophomores invited their grandparents to campus for the morning and together they enjoyed breakfast, songs from the recent musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, a presentation by President Sr. Sheila O’Neill, ASCJ, Ph.D., ’71, Sacred Heart trivia using the students’ Lenovo tablets, a prayer service in the Mount Sacred Heart Chapel, and tours. More than one hundred grandparents and special guests joined us for this day.

The sophomores and their grandparents particularly enjoyed their time in chapel. It was especially meaningful, as each part of the service honored the “strong bonds” between granddaughters and grandparents.
