Meet the Class of 2021
September 11, 2017
The new freshman class at Sacred Heart Academy, the Class of 2021, is 123 young women strong. Members of the class applied from sixty towns in Connecticut and ninety feeder schools. The top five feeder towns are Hamden (32), Wallingford (14), New Haven (13), West Haven (12), and Branford (11) and the most popular names in the freshman class are Anna, Clare/Claire, Emma, and Mia.
And, the Sacred Heart Academy legacy continues… twenty-six class members have at least one sister who is a current student or graduate (thirty-two sisters in all), seventeen members of the class have mothers who are alumnae, and nine members of the class have grandmothers who are alumnae. Eight freshmen have both mother and grandmother legacy relationships.
“Sacred Heart legacy is again strongly represented in this class. We are always so pleased to welcome daughters of our alumnae who desire to continue the legacy of excellence cultivated over our 70 years in education,” offered Director of Admission Elaine Lamboley ’60.
Members of the class have attended three orientation events offered to create a strong sense of community and to help our new students feel confident and comfortable in their new school.
The Class of 2021 will be officially inducted into the Sacred Heart community at Freshman Commissioning on Wednesday, September 21 at 7:00 p.m. Freshman parents are asked to attend the commissioning service and reception with their daughters.
Sacred Heart warmly welcomes the Class of 2021!
