August 30, 2017
Caroline Dearborn Raynis ’07 has been appointed director of alumnae relations.
After graduating from Sacred Heart, Caroline went on to pursue a bachelor of arts in communications and marketing, with a minor in criminal justice and journalism, from Central Connecticut State University. She continued her studies at Southern Connecticut State University where she earned a master’s in business administration with a concentration in marketing.
“Caroline comes to us filled with enthusiasm to return to the place of so many happy memories during her high school years. A dedicated volunteer during her years as a student and then as an alumna, Caroline was selected from a large pool of highly qualified candidates and we are confident that our alumnae – 7,000 strong – will thoroughly enjoy working with her. She is warm, engaging, enthusiastic, in love with all things Sacred Heart, very professional and extremely qualified,” offered President Sr. Sheila O’Neill, ASCJ, Ph.D., ’71.” Alumnae may remember Caroline as “The Lunch Lady” on The Morning Show, in the gymnasium selling tickets to athletic events and building school spirit, or assisting in the Office of Mission Advancement at many phone-a-thons.
Caroline was employed by the State of Connecticut, Department of Labor from 2010 to 2016 as a career trainee, community service representative, and finally as an associate community representative. Prior to that she worked in business development for Siedel, Inc.
Most active in her parish, St. Sebastian in Middletown, and at her children’s school, Holy Trinity in Wallingford, Caroline also serves as co-leader of a Girl Scout troop. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children, yoga, and the beach.
