Students Excel at Connecticut’s Largest Science & Engineering Competition

March 27, 2017

Once again, our young women did exceedingly well at the Connecticut Science & Engineering Fair (CSEF). CSEF, a yearly, statewide science and engineering fair provides a forum for middle and high school students to showcase their scientific prowess. Held at Quinnipiac University, the event helps attract young people to careers in science and engineering while developing skills essential to critical thinking. More than 650 young scientists representing 122 schools worked diligently on the over 560 research projects that were entered in this year’s fair and approximately 150 students were selected as finalists.

Sacred Heart Academy is extremely proud of our performance this year…every student we sent received one or more awards! Congrats to the following students, all of whom earned either first, second, or third honors, and/or special awards. And special kudos to Eunji Lee ’18 who  placed second overall in the PepsiCo Physical Science category, and will represent Sacred Heart at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)  in Los Angeles in May:
