La Société Honoraire de Français Inducts New Members

Seventeen students were recently inducted into La Société Honoraire de Français, an honor society sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French for high-achieving high school students enrolled in French language classes. Students must have completed two years of French, earning a grade point average of 4.0 in French, and an overall average of 3.0 to qualify. La Société Honoraire de Français promotes high standards of scholarship, rewards scholastic achievement, and encourages appreciation for different cultures and language learning. French educators Anna Bouteneff and Sylvie Levallois-Sanchez presided over the ceremony, which was held in conjunction with the National Latin and Spanish Honor Society inductions.
