Students Inducted to Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica

Thirty students were recently inducted into the Sacred Heart chapter of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (Spanish National Honor Society). Students must have completed two years of Spanish, earning a grade point average of 3.67 in Spanish and an overall average of 3.0 to qualify.  The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica is an honor society sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese for high-achieving high school students enrolled in Spanish and Portuguese language classes. The Santa Teresa de Ávila’s chapter is sponsored by Spanish educators Carmen Martínez, Ed.D., Oscar Rollán and Kathryn Nuñez. The ceremony was held in conjunction with the National Latin and French Honor Society inductions.
