Meet the SHA Class of 2016!

August 23, 2012

The new freshman class at Sacred Heart Academy, the Class of 2016, is 133 young women strong. Members of the class come from 31 different towns throughout Connecticut and 51 different feeder schools. The most popular names in the freshman class are Emily, Elizabeth/Elisabeth, Kathleen, and Meghan/Megan.

And, the Sacred Heart Academy legacy continues: 27 members of the class have one or more sisters who are current students or alumnae; 33 sisters in all, 14 members of the class have mothers who are alumnae, 3 members of the class have grandmothers who are alumnae. “We are particularly struck with the number of alumnae who are sending their daughters to Sacred Heart. The presence of these young women at the Academy is a testament to the importance that families place on values learned here and their desire to ensure that the Sacred Heart tradition of excellence continues,” offered Elaine Lamboley, Director of Admission.

The Class of 2016 will be officially inducted into the Sacred Heart community at Freshman Commissioning on Tuesday, September 25 at 7:00 p.m. Freshman parents are strongly encouraged to attend the Commissioning service and the formal reception to follow!

We warmly welcome the Class of 2016!
