Director of Guidance Named to Albertus Magnus Counselor Advisory Board

Director of Guidance Kerry Alexander will serving a three-year term on the inaugural Albertus Magnus College Counselor Advisory Board. Recognized by the College as a “guidance professional whose prerogative is considered invaluable to the progress of Albertus,” Kerry will be asked and encouraged to provide critical feedback that will help shape future recruiting and retention efforts at Albertus.
Kerry looks forward to discussing admissions practices and goals, strategies to meet the unique challenges presented by the increasingly competitive and dynamic landscape of higher education, and networking with others in the counseling profession to bring best practices in college admissions back to Sacred Heart. She also serves on the Sacred Heart University Counselor Advisory Board.
Serving as director of guidance at Sacred Heart since 2009, Kerry was formerly a guidance counselor in both the Southington and Stratford public schools as well as an independent college admissions counselor. She did her undergraduate work in psychology at State University of New York, Geneseo and her M.A. in counseling at Long Island University. Kerry also completed a six year study in educational leadership and development at SCSU.
