Senior Molly Flowers Signs National Letter of Intent
November 20, 2013
Congratulations to Molly Flowers ’14 who has signed her National Letter of Intent to play softball for the University of Maine at Orono. At the signing, which was held in the library, Molly’s family, President Sr. Sheila O’Neill, ASCJ, ’71, Principal Sr. Maureen Flynn, ASCJ, ’81, Athletic Director George Bedocs, and her coaches and teammates were present.
A star pitcher and four year member of Sacred Heart’s softball team, Molly pitched in all five tournament games during her freshman year when the team won the State title. Also a tremendous hitter, Molly is “quiet and humble, strictly a team player, and doesn’t have an idea how outstanding a player she truly is,” offered Head Coach Ray Ramelli.
“I’m extremely excited to go to UMaine! I couldn’t have picked a better school to spend the next four years. Signing with them is an amazing honor. Being able to play at Maine is a blessing since the softball team is great and I just loved the coaching staff! I plan on studying chemical engineering when I go to college and UMaine has an outstanding program so it’s all perfect,” gushed Molly.
Sacred Heart is proud!
