President’s Club Established

The President’s Club was established in fall 2013 to recognize individuals whose exceptional generosity helps Sacred Heart to achieve its highest goals. Members include donors who, starting in the year 2012-2013, make a commitment of $1,000 or more annually to the Academy. Recently more than fifty current parents, alumnae parents, alumnae, faculty members, and friends attended the first annual President’s Club gathering. As members of the President’s Club, these generous donors are recognized in the Annual Report/Honor Roll of Giving.

Chairman of the Advisory Council Roger Sciascia welcomed and thanked guests, and introduced speakers Mary Lee Weber, advisory council member and alumnae parent, Michael Vasaturo, alumnae parent, and Marilyn Douglas ’72, alumna, all of whom discussed why they give to Sacred Heart. Principal Sr. Maureen Flynn, ASCJ, ’81 then introduced Nneoma Obi, senior class president, who spoke briefly and assisted President Sister Sheila O’Neill, ASCJ, Ph.D.,’71 with the presentation of pins. The evening concluded with Sr. Sheila’s closing remarks as she expressed the sincere gratitude of the Sacred Heart Academy community.

“This year we welcomed 96 members into this Club and certainly look to expand this number in  the years to come. Because of the generosity of our leadership donors, Sacred Heart continues to be the hallmark of Catholic education. We are forever grateful for the continued support of our entire constituency,” offered Debbie Camner, Director of Mission Advancement.
